Youth Partners and Communities Together (PACT)

What is PACT ?

Lye and Wollescote Partnership

Residents in the Lye and Wollescote Partnership area can decide actions about issues affecting their area.

The Lye and Wollescote Partnership works to promote neighbourhood and social renewal in the Lye, Wollescote and Pedmore Fields area. PACT is open to all residents, business owners and local and community voluntary groups living or working within the Lye and Wollescote and Pedmore Fields area who are interested in regeneration.

It is supported by the neighbourhood management team and other council representatives. This gives communities the opportunity to influence the actions of service providers and discuss issues needing action. Other partners include local councillors, schools, police, faith organisations, connexions and representatives from Dudley Council's libraries, housing and education teams.

The group will receive regular reports from Lye youth PACT (Partners and Communities Together) which aims to identify and address issues of community safety and well-being in the area. Lye's youth PACT is among the first of its kind in the country.

The youth PACT is made up of eight young people aged between 14 and 17 from the Lye and Claycroft Place area. The group came together to work to combat the local negative perception of young people in the area. They've been so successful that youth issues are no longer identified as a priority issue at Lye PACT meetings.
